Your Blood Donations This Weekend Helped Save 108 Lives

Thanks to the generosity of 34 donors this past Saturday, two of whom donated "doubles," together we were able to collect a grand total of 36 units. Each unit of blood can save three lives meaning that Saturday's efforts translate into 108 lives being touched. To date, the Heart of the Village annual blood drive has collected nearly 150 units of blood, positively impacting 450 lives. That’s phenomenal Carlsbad Village!

A huge thank you also goes out to the staff at Carlsbad Village Music & Village Vibe (505 Carlsbad Village Drive) where the blood mobile was located. Carlsbad Village Music provided live music for the entire event, with five different musical acts performing from 10am to 3pm, much to the enjoyment of the donors who needed to wait a few minutes prior to their appointment. With delightful weather and live music, the afternoon felt almost like the good old times!

With our 4th year now under our belt with such success, we are turning our sights on a June event with two donation buses. Stay tuned for information on how you too can help save someone's life!
