Thanks to 35 participating businesses, Carlsbad Village looks a little more festive than usual this holiday season. With scenes of Santa's toy shop and more Christmas trees and wreaths than ever before, the Village has a festive flair. Three lucky winners have been chosen from this year's list. The People's Choice online ballot took in a total of 402 votes this year with two contenders just nine votes apart. The winner of the People's Choice for 2019 goes to Handel's Ice Cream (www.handelsicecream.com/carlsbad). This year's City Council vote goes to Carlsbad Village Music (www.carlsbadvillagemusic.com). Thank you to Councilmembers Cori Schumacher and Priya Bhat-Patel for taking time to visit each location to cast a vote. And the Kid's Favorite vote, thoughtfully chosen by the judges at the Boys & Girls Club, goes to Dollhouse Boutique (www.dollhouseboutiquecarlsbad.com) for their trendy and colorful Christmas tree display.
