Village Voices Is Back At Dea Hurston New Village Arts Center

The Carlsbad Village Association (CVA) is pleased to announce that after three long years Village Voices will be returning to New Village Arts where it had been held for several years prior to the pandemic.
On March 10, 2020, Village Voices was last held in the New Village Arts Theatre with nearly 90 people in attendance. Who knew that just a week later the world would shut down due to Covid-19. Now, three years later, almost to the day, Village Voices is back at NVA.
To kick off the return to the Dea Hurston New Village Arts Center, Village Voices will be welcomed back by City Manager Scott Chadwick. After networking over coffee and donuts, sponsored by Kiln Carlsbad, hear updates on important issues that affect downtown businesses and residents.
Come learn how to become a Green Certified Business from the City of Carlsbad and hear from Gelato Love, the first Green Certified Business in Carlsbad Village. The city is offering a FREE and VOLUNTARY Green Business Assistance Program, designed to help Carlsbad businesses (including home offices) operate sustainably and receive public recognition for their efforts.
Our second topic will help everyone better understand road design and its effects on how people drive, bike and walk in Carlsbad Village. Learn about the tools the city uses to transform streets and how the city prioritizes different modes of travel on different streets.
Village Voices champions economic prosperity and quality of life for Carlsbad Village by being the voice of businesses and promoting collaboration to help the business community grow. Village Voices is the voice of businesses, and residents, in downtown Carlsbad.
