We are pleased to be back on Tuesday, March 8th for our second Village Voices meeting of the year at the New Village Arts theatre. NVA has hosted Village Voices meetings for over two years and we are happy to be back one more time before their extensive remodel and renovation begins this spring.
Join us for complimentary coffee and pastries from 8:00am to 8:30am followed by a fast-paced, one hour meeting. You will not only be introduced to other business owners, managers, and residents, but you will learn about upcoming Carlsbad Village Association events, important business news, and will hear from a guest speaker as well.
March's guest speaker will be Avecita Jones, the Program Manager for the City of Carlsbad's Sustainable Materials Management Division. Ms. Jones will be talking about California's largest solid waste law since 1989 called SB 1383 that will require residents and food-related businesses to implement new food recovery programs starting this summer. Ms. Jones will also discuss the requirements of residents and businesses when the City of Carlsbad transitions trash companies from Waste Management to Republic Services on July 1, 2022.
