Join us for Village Voices on Tuesday, March 10, from 8:00 to 9:30 AM at the Dea Hurston New Village Arts Center, 2787 State Street. Networking begins at 8:00 AM, followed by the program from 8:45 to 9:30 AM.

March’s Village Voices gathering brings our downtown businesses and residents back together for a morning of meaningful updates and shared conversation. These meetings are about staying connected, understanding what is happening in our downtown, and continuing to strengthen the partnerships that make Carlsbad Village thrive.

This month, John Smith, the owner of the Carlsbad 5000, will share insights into the world's fastest 5K (and one of the region’s most recognized events), its impact on the Village, and how you can get involved. And Tom Frank, Director of Transportation, and Nestor Mangohig, City Engineer, both with the City of Carlsbad, will provide updates on the addition of 60 new light poles in the Village, the status of the decorative lighting plan for the Village, and also parking updates for Grand Avenue. You will also hear updates from downtown business owners.

The Green Business Alliance will also host an informational table to help guide businesses interested in becoming green certified. The Carlsbad Village Association is proud to share that we recently achieved green certification ourselves and look forward to supporting other businesses that want to take that step.

Village Voices continues to be a space where local businesses, residents, and community partners come together in a professional, welcoming environment to exchange ideas and stay informed. We look forward to seeing you on March 10 for another productive and engaging morning in Carlsbad Village.
