Paving Along Carlsbad Boulevard Planned August 11 and 12
Carlsbad Boulevard will be closed from Grand Avenue to State Street on Tuesday, Aug. 11 and possibly Wednesday, Aug. 12 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. During this time, crews will be paving Carlsbad Boulevard between Cypress Avenue and State Street. To accommodate construction, through traffic will be detoured onto State Street via Grand Avenue.
The entire work area will be closed to both vehicles and bicycles. Pedestrian access will be available to businesses located north of Grand Avenue. Please reference the map for detour routes. Nearby residents can expect intermittent construction noise while the paving is being performed.
The work is part of the historical bridge rehabilitation project currently underway north of Mountain View Drive, which includes improvements to the bridge railing, retaining walls and traffic medians that will enhance safety and access to Carlsbad Village.
