This weekend we not only celebrated Mother’s Day, but we also showered some attention on several women-owned small businesses throughout Carlsbad Village!
On Saturday May 13th, CVA kicked off Mother’s Day weekend with our first ever Mother’s Day Scavenger Hunt. The first stop on our hunt was at the Village Florist Co., where the first 100 Moms were given a beautiful long stem pink rose, courtesy of Jolene Marquez.
The jaunt continued throughout the Village with scavenger hunt stops at some of our favorite women-owned businesses. Moms received a complimentary gelato cone at their stop at GelatoLove, owned by Paola Richard, and a complimentary chocolate truffle at Sweet Spot, owned by Amy Tovar.
The quest concluded with a Mom-inspired celebration at The Chandelier Room, owned by Cherilyn Cowell, where Moms could enjoy a "Mom-osa" provided by Fig & Feather Bar Co., owned by Claudia Sinnott, and a complimentary charcuterie cup provided by Ilona Rennert, owner of Bits & Bites Graze Boards.
At The Chandelier Room, Moms entered to win a handful of fabulous prizes and shopped "Mom-inspired" vendors from all women-owned businesses; Link x Lou permanent jewelry, J&W Gems beaded jewelry and custom hats, and greeting cards from Monica Martin Fine Art.
Thank you to all of the Moms who participated and to all the women-owned businesses who helped make our first Mother’s Day Scavenger hunt a success!
