The 25th Annual Art in the Village is officially in the books!
Thank you to everyone who made this year another smashing success, from the artists, to the sponsors, to the local businesses, and beyond!
Over 130 artists and 24 musicians came together on June 25th to celebrate creativity at the coast under bright blue skies. The Carlsbad Village Association is grateful for all of its amazing artists for believing in this event, now going strong for over two decades.
In addition to our artist’s booths, Art in the Village also offered live sculpting, pottery making, and glass making demonstrations throughout the day. Thank you to our artists who spent the day sharing their passion with fellow art enthusiasts.
Thank you to CVA Member, Ting Internet, for being the generous stage sponsor at the 25th anniversary of Art in the Village. Thanks to Ting's incredible support, it was our most musical year ever! Music is integral to this iconic event and thanks to Ting's sponsorship, this year's event featured three new musical acts.
Thank you to The City of Carlsbad for hosting the Pop Up Art (formerly Family Open Studios) art-making booth for children and art enthusiasts of all ages. The City’s Arts Education team helped guide interested artists in creating an abstract glass-like masterpiece with a colorful, layered, see-through artwork to bring home. Live music and a face painter was also there to add to the fun!
CVA’s Food, Beer and Wine garden was a great success thanks to our generous downtown beverage sponsors and food purveyors. Great teamwork! Pure Project, Carruth Cellars Urban Winery, Drippin' Kitchen, Nico's Fish Market and Açai Surf & Roll made this a very special day.
This year, thanks to the sponsorship of Kiln Carlsbad, the public was able to enjoy a brand new hospitality seating area in the Food, Beer + Wine Garden. Seating in the garden included comfy chairs beneath shade umbrellas where people could relax, enjoy lunch or a craft beer, and take in the downtown Carlsbad vibe. Thank you Kiln for a new experience that we cannot wait to repeat!
Thank you to the City of Carlsbad for offering a complimentary bike valet service for those attending Art in the Village by bike. Operated by the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition, the bike valet service ensured riders that their bicycles, e-bikes and accessories, like helmets, were safe while they enjoyed the festivities.
And we would not have been able to elevate the event this year without the support of our sponsors - Republic Services, Engel & Volkers Carlsbad, Big Bully Turf, Cutco Cutlery, EcoWater, Farm Fresh To You, Leaf Filter, Ohana Creations, Pure Project Carlsbad, and System Pavers.
The Carlsbad Village Association is already looking forward to celebrating the 26th annual Art in the Village with everyone next year on June 30th, 2024. This is what community is all about and we couldn't be more proud!
