Thirty restaurants, 10 Sip Stop locations hosting 10 craft beer and wine brand ambassadors, 500 enthusiastic attendees, 30 volunteers, and a gorgeous Fall night, made for an exciting comeback for Taste of Carlsbad Village on Thursday, October 12th. With passport in hand, 500 hungry participants toured the Village in search of the perfect sip or bite. Whether it came in the shape of a pork belly slider, a giant raviolo with vodka sauce, mini cups of gelato, a crisp glass of Sauvignon Blanc or a hearty IPA, there was something for everyone. The participating restaurants in Carlsbad Village spared no expense and truly aimed to impress. Tables were decorated with wine bottles and baguettes, flowers, candles and spices. And the brand ambassadors representing local craft beer and wine, were the perfect complement to the evening's food sampling.
The Carlsbad Village Association cannot thank its title sponsor, Mission Federal Credit Union, enough for its generous support and also for volunteering for the event as well! The Taste of Carlsbad Village supporting sponsors - Volvo Carlsbad, Palomar Mountain Water, and the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce - also helped make it possible for us to host this caliber of event. But we cannot forget the amazing performances by our Village restaurants in delighting us with their signature bites and allowing us a peak into their culinary expertise, and our host Sip Stop locations provided by Village businesses. It truly was a community effort to bring together such wonderful businesses and brand ambassadors to create a lovely night for all.
