Jewelry, clothing, home decor, candles, pottery, macrame, woodworking, vintage and upcycled items, photography, essential oils, artisan sweets, hand crafted leather goods, and more, can be found at the Makers Market the first Saturday in April, May and June. This is a juried event and all items must be hand made with the artist present to represent their products and artwork. Our next Makers Market is Saturday, April 3rd, just in time for last minute Easter gifts, like these soft, hand made leather wallets from Sallys Satchels Nthings.
Juried Art and Handcrafted Market Place
From 9 am to 4 pm, the St. Michael's by-the Sea Episcopal Church will turn into an open-air makers market. St. Michael's was built in 1884 and its historic buildings and campus are a beautiful backdrop to this outdoor artisan market. All applicants are juried and only self-designed and handcrafted items will exhibit in this venue. The Makers Market is a free community event.
Make a day of it in Carlsbad Village
Public parking is plentiful in the Village, and the beach is only two blocks away. Many casual and fine dining establishments are within steps from the venue and shopping at a wide variety of boutiques, salons, and galleries.
Safety Is Our Top Priority
Staff and management have worked very closely with the County of San Diego and the City of Carlsbad to bring the Makers Market to you safely that complies with health guidelines as we remain in the Red Tier. Masks are required at this event and hand sanitizing stations will be available as well as fresh water hand washing stations.
