The Olde Carlsbad Village Spring Clean Up could not have gone better! On Saturday, April 30th, the City of Carlsbad, the Olde Carlsbad Village Association and the Carlsbad Village Association joined forces and helped collect bulky items, trash and unwanted items from homes in the Barrio neighborhood. Crews even mowed and weeded vacant lots and public areas that needed some TLC and hauled off dozens of bags of greenery. The whole effort was to help this historic neighborhood shine its brightest and what better way to do that than through a community effort. Following the cleanup efforts, a community picnic followed at Pine Park with food provided by Lola’s 7 Up Market.
