2833 State Street is about to get a makeover! What was once the Village Grille will soon be remodeled by Shorehouse Kitchen, whose property lease was approved by City Council February 14. The Shorehouse Kitchen, which currently has a successful restaurant in La Jolla that receives rave reviews, will initially offer breakfast and lunch, but will eventually expand into dinner service. With 58 seats inside and 58 seats outside, the remodeled property will serve as a wonderful anchor to the heart of the Village.
Menu offerings for breakfast at their La Jolla location include everything from a healthy Egg White and Tofu Frittata to decadent Angus Short Ribs and Hash Brown Potato Cakes. Their lunch menu is equally diverse offering everything from a Quinoa, Roasted Beet and Asparagus Salad to Steak and Fries. In other words, their menu should have something on it for everyone.
