It's always a good time to support small businesses! Celebrate "Mainstreet" with us on Small Business Saturday, November 25th. Shop and dine all day long in Carlsbad Village to show your support for these amazing solopreneurs, entrepreneurs, and enduring family businesses. Because . . . what would life be like without them?
Small Business Saturday, on November 25th, marks the 13th year of the Shop Small movement. The concept was first introduced by American Express in 2010 as a way to put small businesses in the spotlight amid the recession that occurred following the 2008 financial crisis. The Great Recession may be over, and we might be post Covid, but small businesses are still struggling to compete with the mega stores and online giants. Carlsbad Village is known for its charming streets lined with small businesses of every variety, and we want to keep it that way!
The Carlsbad Village Association (CVA) has a wonderful Small Business Saturday celebration program planned for you with approximately $1,500 in drawing opportunities, including restaurant gift cards (courtesy of CVA) and retail gift cards and prize packages (courtesy of generous businesses in the Village). No purchase is necessary. And, for those who love to capture a party in photos, "selfie-takers" can also be entered to win the Grand Prize drawing . . . stay tuned for details!
CVA's Small Business Saturday celebration starts at 11:00 am and runs through 4:00 pm. Visit the CVA booth at the corner of Grand Ave. and State St. for all the details on the big day! Award-winning pianist, Robert Parker, will kick off the season with holiday tunes from 12:00 pm to 3:00pm. Free tote bag and Carlsbad swag giveaways (while supplies last).
Come shop small with us in Carlsbad Village and know that you are making a difference to so many every time you do! Your local dollars make a lasting impact.
