Carlsbad Village has long been known for its artistic flair.  From over a dozen art murals throughout the Village to art galleries and artist coops, there is something for everyone.  The 19th Annual Art in the Village returns this August 13th and will feature juried fine art from over 100 artists.  Watercolor, oil painting, photography, woodworking, jewelry, ceramics, and so much more, will be on display, as will live sculpting and painting demos.  State Street from Carlsbad Village Drive to Christiansen and Grand from the railroad tracks to Roosevelt will turn into a plein air art show from 9am to 5pm, complete with live music, artisan food and drink, and much more.

On Sunday, September 10th, we are pleased to announce our first Crafter's Showcase to celebrate the handmade wonders from local and regional crafters.  From 9am to 5pm, the North Public Lot on Roosevelt will become an open air crafter's paradise featuring 55 specialty booths with everything from handmade soaps to jewelry to succulents to pottery to leather goods and so much more.  Live music, artisan food and drink, and giveaways will make this a very special day.

Mark your calendars now and plan on spending time in the Village on both of these very special event days.  With restaurants just one block away, the beach just two blocks away, why go anywhere else for an amazing summer day!
