It's been a long two and a half months, but most of the businesses in Carlsbad Village are finally open! In order to help keep us safe at home, since mid-March businesses in Carlsbad Village have not been able to fully open their doors. Some deemed essential, mostly restaurants, could eke out a bit of a living through curbside delivery and takeout, but it was not nearly enough. Retail was entirely shut down. As restrictions relaxed, curbside delivery was available to retail, as well, while salons and barbershops were still shuttered. Churches too. Now here we are at the end of May, and our businesses are opening their doors and welcoming back their customers, clients, and members. We are looking forward to a thoughtful return to "Mainstreet" as we all support the small businesses who endured this shutdown and will now be doing business in a new reality. Business will look different but with your patience and understanding, they will adapt. Thank you for supporting Carlsbad Village during this difficult time. We are not out of the woods yet, by any stretch, but with your help we are well on our way!
