The Carlsbad Village Association "Clean-Up Team" was thrilled to see such an enthusiastic turnout for our first community clean-up event of 2024 this past Saturday!
Thanks to the combined efforts of CVA, Pure Project Carlsbad, Handel's Ice Cream Carlsbad, and Baba Coffee we spread the word far and wide, bringing together families from across Carlsbad to help beautify our downtown streets.
Our deepest gratitude goes out to our gracious co-hosts Pure Project Carlsbad and Handel's Carlsbad for supplying our volunteers with all the tools they needed to collect trash. Our community really stepped up and together we gathered a whopping 245 pounds of litter, bringing our total trash collected from these clean-up events to over 2,000 pounds! It's incredible what we can accomplish when we join forces.
In addition to the trash collected, Handel's generously gave out 71 ice cream cone cards, Baba Coffee provided 29 coffee vouchers, and Pure Project distributed countless $1 pint coupons to our hard-working volunteers. We are so grateful for our wonderful downtown businesses!
