Starting in May 2016, the City of Carlsbad will conduct a parking analysis of the Village, Barrio and beach area. The goal of this analysis is to identify parking management strategies that:
- Improve parking and mobility options for community members and visitors
- Maximize the efficiency of existing parking resources
- Identify solutions that will support future parking needs
City staff provided an overview of the parking study at our April 20th Village Voices meeting. You can view the presentation here. Your input on parking is needed so look for more information about upcoming surveys, community meetings and future Village Voices meetings. One such study will take place at the Farmers’ Market on May 18th and June 15th (weather permitting). The surveyors will be easily identified.
