Don't miss the next Village Voices event, the perfect opportunity to connect with your community over coffee and donuts! Come meet Carlsbad's incoming (April) Chief of Police, Christie Calderwood.
On Tuesday, March 12th, join the Carlsbad Village Association from 8-8:45am at the Dea Hurston New Village Arts Center for complimentary Revolution Roasters coffee and donuts courtesy of First Team Real Estate. Fuel up on caffeine and carbs while networking with fellow business owners, managers, residents, and community members.
At 8:45am a fast-paced 45 minutes will get you up to date on a variety of downtown topics and events, including hearing from Police Chief Mickey Williams, who is retiring in April. You will hear from Christie Calderwood, a La Costa Canyon High School alumnus who will be Carlsbad's first female Chief of Police. CVA's Executive Director Christine Davis will give a quick update on new developments downtown, city initiatives affecting local businesses, and upcoming events. And you'll hear from Miriah Leclerc, owner of Revolution Roasters, who just opened her second coffee house at The Cottage on Roosevelt St.
You could even win free Carlsbad merchandise or Market Money for the popular State Street Farmers Market! It's our way of thanking you for strengthening our downtown community.
New businesses can also announce a grand opening, rebrand, or recent move to the Village by giving a one-minute mic update to spread the word (space is limited).
Don't miss this opportunity to make connections over coffee and donuts. Join your fellow Village voices on March 12th and help CVA build community one relationship at a time!
