Member Hosted Village Cleanup Another Great Success

Two Carlsbad Village Association members - Handel's Ice Cream and Pure Project Carlsbad - have been instrumental this year in helping us remove trash, cigarette butts, plastic, and more from our streets, alleyways, and planters. The commitment to community that these two small businesses display is inspiring.

On October 8th, amidst overcast skies, a small group of hearty trash hunters gathered in front of Handel's and Pure Project and together they collected 57.5 pounds of trash, including an entire bucket of cigarette butts!

Along with two large, community-wide cleanups held in collaboration with Richness of Giving, these smaller quarterly member-hosted cleanups are instrumental in keeping the consistency going and keeping the importance of community pride front and center.

We cannot thank Handel's Ice Cream and Pure Project enough, and our deep gratitude goes out to all that came out to help us make Carlsbad Village shine!
