The State Street Farmers Market joined farmers markets across the country to celebrate National Farmers Market Week August 6-12, 2023. To recognize this special day, the Carlsbad Village Association gave away delicious bounty bags to some lucky market goers.
No purchase was necessary for this special giveaway, designed to introduce market goers to new vendors or gift them with items from some of their favorites. Three Bounty Bags were up for grabs. Each bag contained bread from Prager Brothers, fresh produce from a variety of our local farmers, and eggs from Three Sons Farm. One bag featured chicken from Perennial Pastures, and the other two scored Dry Dock’s fresh fish. All items were delivered to the winners in a Carlsbad themed canvas tote bag, great for future market visits.
This year, five additional market goers won $20 each in Market Money. These Market Money winners participated in a fun Farmers Market themed Mad Libs game. We absolutely loved reading their Farmers Market tales!
