There's no denying the quality of design and artistry shown in something made by hand. On the first Saturday in March, April, May, and June, in downtown Carlsbad Village, join us in celebrating 40 local and regional artisans and their skill in a particular craft.
Find handmade, vintage, upcycled, and unique goods at the Makers Market that will highlight the crafter's creativity in the areas of:
• woodworking
• leather work
• 3D functional art
• natural jewelry
• beading
• fabric creations
• linen restoration
• re-purposed materials
• artisan foods
• and much more.
Juried Art & Handcrafted Marketplace
From 9 am to 4 pm, the St. Michael's By-The-Sea Episcopal Church will turn into an open-air makers market. All applicants are juried, and only self-designed and handcrafted items will exhibit in this venue. The Makers Market is a free community event.
Safety Is Our Top Priority
Staff and management have worked very closely with the County of San Diego and the City of Carlsbad to bring the Makers Market to you safely that complies with health guidelines.
• Standard safety measures, such as mask-wearing by vendors, staff, volunteers, and the public, as well as proper social distancing, will be enforced at all times.
• Hand sanitizing stations will be available and a handwashing station with soap and water.
• A sanitization schedule for the restrooms will be posted and adhered to.
• Staff and management will use their expertise safely operating their weekly Farmers' Market over the past seven months at this event as well. They will put best practices in place for the Makers Market for everyone's safety and enjoyment.
