Join CVA Members And Help Support Downtown Carlsbad Village

Category: What's New
The Carlsbad Village Association (CVA) plays a pivotal role in supporting and promoting the small businesses in the Village so that they can be successful, and our downtown can remain a vibrant destination. It is an honor and a privilege providing the services we do for the betterment of all businesses in the Village.
What CVA Has Been Up To
Even without its community events, we’re always working on the behalf of the Village and feel we've done some great work during the past six months helping in the recovery effort while keeping Carlsbad Village on everyone's radar for dining, shopping, services, and hospitality.
Since the start of the health pandemic in March 2020, CVA has pivoted and has become a true advocate for the small businesses in the Village. CVA regularly attends and participates in weekly City Council meetings as well as the San Diego County Board of Supervisors business updates. We speak on behalf of businesses and projects in the Village and provide support where needed. We also eagerly contribute to Village projects with Carlsbad city staff. Did you know we helped in an advisory capacity on the $5 million Economic Recovery and Revitalization Program for Carlsbad's small businesses and helped bring to fruition its $10,000 micro loan?
We’ve also collaborated on 19 "Joint Communication" emails sent out by the City of Carlsbad in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce to help keep businesses informed. CVA has been a panelist on five webinars with the City of Carlsbad and Chamber of Commerce regarding business revitalization and recovery efforts, funding resources, as well as sidewalk and parking lot activation efforts. And CVA has sent 47 business emails to our list of business owners with valuable PPP, EIDL and grant information from the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Main Street America, County of San Diego, San Diego Downtown Partnership, and much more.
