Job Fair Adds More Businesses Seeking Employees

Category: What's New

The unemployment rate in San Diego County was 6.6 percent in August 2021, down from 10.8 percent a year ago, but it is still higher than the national average of 5.3 percent. The Carlsbad Village Association wants to help improve those numbers by offering its first in-person job fair supporting the restaurant, retail and hospitality sectors in downtown Carlsbad.

On Saturday, September 25th, from 8:00 am to 11:00 am, job seekers can meet new potential employers in a comfortable outdoor venue. In addition to popular eateries such as Campfire, Pure Taco, and Handel's, the beachfront Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort and Carlsbad by the Sea Retirement Community are also hoping to find new team members. And, if you're looking for a career in public service, the Carlsbad Police Department and Carlsbad Fire Department will be on site to talk about their employment opportunities as well.

Come meet these and other exceptional Carlsbad Village businesses this Saturday at 2965 Roosevelt Street. No RSVP is required. There's plenty of parking right across the street in two public parking lots. We hope you find your next best job opportunity or career in downtown Carlsbad!
