The oldest neighborhood in Carlsbad - the Barrio (which means neighborhood) - is undergoing a little cleanup and polishing Saturday, October 29th, at Pine Park from 8am to 11am. And, you are welcome to join in on the fun and inspiration! Neighbors helping neighbors was the theme in April when volunteers all throughout the community joined forces to clean, weed, and haul off most any unwanted items. Dumpsters were brought in by the City of Carlsbad and volunteers helped load them to nearly overflow. The April event was so well received that it's happening again! This time there is a spruce-up component whereby residents who need a little helping hand can put in a request for things like light painting, minor fence repair, etc., to help keep their properties at their very best.
