We have been having a doggone good time in Carlsbad Village this month! Visit Carlsbad, the city's official Destination Marketing Organization, launched "All Paws Lead to Carlsbad," a pet-friendly tourism initiative, making travel to the destination with your pet a breeze. The Carlsbad Village Association helped coordinate a few downtown experiences that were just paw-fect for owners and their pets.
On March 10th, Pure Project Carlsbad hosted a “Yappy Hour” where guests received a discount off their pint when they brought a furry friend to their taproom. They had an onsite raffle and Boozy Bones dog treats available, which are sustainable, healthy dog treats made with spent grain from SD Breweries. They even collected donations to the local animal shelter.
On March 10th & 11th, Carlsbad Pet and Feed hosted "Splish Splash Spa Days" that included access to their self-wash stations, complimentary nail trims, and a free doggy treat bag. Vendors were on site, and they even held a cat adoption one of the days.
On March 18th & 19th, at Fired Up Ceramics, guests and their pups created "Clay Keepsake Paw Prints." Their time at Fired Up included paw print clay impressions (with a discount offered), ceramic choices, doggy goodie bags, refreshments and dog snacks.
But, the paw-ty doesn’t stop there. There are still more dog-tastic events on the radar!
On March 25th, leave your furry friend at home, but bring them back a special gift! Celebrate your doggo with Handled Pottery at their Pet Bowl Making workshop. During this hands on clay workshop, you will create a pair of personalized food bowls for your pet. You will learn the method of hand building during this two hour workshop. Keep the paw-someness going at Carruth Carlsbad. Through Sunday, April 30th, look for Carruth Carlsbad's special Instagram photo contest. Enter to win a production tour for 4 people of Carruth Cellars and Tipping Pint Brewing Company ($120 value). All you need to do is take a photo of your dog with their "I need a drink" dog bowl at their Carlsbad tasting room, post it on Instagram and tag @CarruthCellars. And, from 5pm – 8pm on Thursday, April 20, Carruth Cellars will also be hosting their quarterly “Corks for Cause” with a portion of the evening's proceeds being donated to Rancho Coastal Humane Society.
