Save the date for a fang-tastic Halloween in the Village celebration on Saturday, October 26, 2024! We’re bringing the perfect mix of thrills, treats, and creative costumes for a fun-packed celebration the whole family will love.
What’s in Store:
• Safe Trick-or-Treating at participating businesses throughout the Village (starting at 2:00 pm)
• Costume Contests for kids, teens, and families at the Village Faire Shopping Center (300 Carlsbad Village Dr.)
• Carnival Games & Bounce House at the Boys and Girls Club (3115 Roosevelt St.) from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
• Sensory and Allergy Friendly Calm Zone at Engel & Völkers Carlsbad (2965 Roosevelt St.)
Complimentary Jack-o-Lantern Goodie Buckets
Start your afternoon at 2:00 pm with safe business-to-business trick-or-treating, complete with complimentary jack-o-lantern goodie buckets for the first 250 costumed kiddos, courtesy of the Carlsbad Village Association.
Grab your bucket at 2697 State Street where craft tables will be set up to help you decorate your bucket. Supplies provided!
Safe Trick-Or-Treating In Carlsbad
Then, head out to visit participating candy stop businesses, all throughout the Village, who will be sporting a brightly colored candy corn icon in their window. Keep in mind that many businesses downtown will be handing out treats, so be sure to also keep an eye out for generous candy bowls. CVA’s mobile walking map will also help you locate candy stops, so check back here for updated locations just prior to the big day! ** If you are a business interested in being an official candy stop listed on the walking map, please contact chanel@carlsbad-village.com. **
Carnival Games & Bounce House
From 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, the Boys and Girls Club of Carlsbad Village (3115 Roosevelt St.), will be hosting carnival games of all kinds, both indoors and out. Come have some fun in their bounce house and grab $1 Cotton Candy. No entry fee.
Costume Contest Fun:
At 4:00 pm, the Village Faire Shopping Center hosts the annual costume contest with prizes for categories like Spookiest and Most Creative. No matter your age or costume, there’s a spot for you to shine!
New This Year:
For those seeking a quieter space, the Sensory and Allergy Friendly Calm Zone at Engel & Volkers Carlsbad offers activities and non-food treats from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. With crafts, games, and selfie stations, it’s a welcoming area for all to enjoy. In addition, Engel & Volkers Carlsbad will serve as a registered Teal Pumpkin Project site offering non-food treats to make Halloween safer and more inclusive for everyone, especially kids with food allergies or other medical conditions.
