Carlsbad Village has long been the home to outstanding hair salons. Some salons have called the Village home for several decades; others are brand new businesses. It is our largest "women-owned" business sector downtown. Some offer add-on services like waxing and facials, and all offer the very latest in brand name hair styling products. CVA Member The Style Lounge (pictured above and below) recently moved to its gorgeous new location at 355 Carlsbad Village Drive, Ste. 101 from their former location just a block or so to the east. In addition to exceptional stylists with years of experience they also offer an extensive line of environmentally conscious beauty products.
The salon industry was particularly hard hit during the pandemic. Despite rigorous ongoing training, regulations and licensing standards mandated by the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology, the public health order was not kind to them during the pandemic and required lengthy business closures. But despite the difficulties of the past 15 months, the salons in downtown Carlsbad have thrived, endured and are now stronger than ever.
