Swing into the Weekend with Jazz and Fun in Carlsbad Village!

Carlsbad Village will come alive this weekend with the soulful sounds of jazz and brass music during the inaugural St. Michael’s Jazz Fest. This free two-day event promises an unforgettable celebration of music, community, and culture, featuring a lineup of local and renowned artists.

Saturday, September 28: Festival Day
From 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM, enjoy a full day of live performances from talented local jazz and brass bands, culminating in a show-stopping performance by the legendary, Grammy Award-winning Rebirth Brass Band straight from New Orleans. The day will be filled with music, food vendors, and plenty of fun for all ages.

Sunday, September 29: Gospel & Donuts
Starting at 11:00 AM, attendees can return for an uplifting encore featuring Euphoria Brass Band and the soulful Steph Johnson Band. Enjoy complimentary donuts and coffee as part of this joyful Sunday celebration, which wraps up by 2:00 PM

Festival Details
St. Michael’s Jazz Fest is held on the outdoor stage at St. Michael’s campus, located at 2775 Carlsbad Blvd. While seating is limited, attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the performances comfortably. A short parade, led by Euphoria Brass Band, will take place on Saturday at 5:30 PM, adding a festive touch to the event.

Parking & Transportation
Visitors are encouraged to walk, bike, or take the train to the festival, with the Carlsbad Village Train Station just a block away. Limited free street parking is available, and the large public lot at the train station offers additional spaces. Carpooling is also recommended, as weekends in the Village can be busy.

Food, Drinks & Activities
Food vendors, including local favorite Pizza Port, will be on-site serving up refreshments and beer will be available for purchase. Families can enjoy a designated area with activities for kids, and well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome to join in the fun on the lawn.
