Double Red Blood Cell Donors Needed For CVA's Upcoming Blood Drive

Your blood donation this weekend could be a lifesaver. The Heart of the Village Blood Drive is happening this Saturday, and the San Diego Blood Bank urgently needs double red cell donations. A few appointments are still available - please consider signing up today.

With a double red cell donation, you can help up to 6 patients with one donation. This specialized procedure collects two units of oxygen-carrying red blood cells using an advanced apheresis machine. The process takes around 45 minutes and returns your plasma and platelets to you.

Red blood cells are vital for surgeries, accident victims, anemia patients, and more. By donating double red cells, you could have a profound impact on those in need.

Donating is quick, easy, and open to healthy individuals 17 and older who weigh at least 110 pounds and have ID. If you don't see an appointment time that works, the Carlsbad Village Association will do our best to accommodate walk-ins from 9am-2pm in the Barrio Glassworks parking lot located at 3060 Roosevelt Street this Saturday.
