The time has come to bid adieu to wasteful single-use plastics at the State Street Farmers Market. As of today, March 6th, vendors will no longer be providing plastic bags and other disposable plastics in accordance with a new California mandate.
To continue reveling in the bounty of fresh, local goods, simply BYOB - Bring Your Own Bag. Arm yourself with reusable totes, produce bags, baskets or other creative carriers. Choosing reusable over disposable is the sustainable choice, helping keep plastics out of waterways and landfills.
Together we can transform the Farmers Market into a plastic-free zone. See you on Wednesdays, bags in hand, as we embark on this sustainable journey. By saying no to single-use plastics, we say yes to a greener future for our community and our planet.
