Summer Movie Fun: Flicks at the Fountain is Officially Back!

We’re counting down the best ways to spend your summer in Carlsbad Village, and at number six is the much-anticipated Flicks at the Fountain. The 2024 season begins on Thursday, July 11th, with Disney’s beloved classic, “The Little Mermaid” (rated G). Dive into the captivating tale of Ariel, a young mermaid who dreams of exploring the human world. In her quest for love and adventure, Ariel makes a daring deal with the sea witch Ursula, trading her voice for human legs to win the heart of Prince Eric. This timeless story of love, sacrifice, and self-discovery will delight audiences of all ages. Special thanks to Pure Project and Beach City Smoothies for supporting this magical evening.

Movies start at dusk (around 8 p.m.) and wrap up by 10 p.m., providing the perfect way to enjoy a summer evening with family and friends. Invite your friends, neighbors, and even your well-behaved, leashed dogs. Flicks at the Fountain is a fantastic, family-friendly event that everyone will love.

The fun doesn’t stop after the first night. On July 18th, enjoy “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory” (Classic, G), sponsored by Sweet Spot and Carlsbad By The Sea. The adventure continues on July 25th with “Trolls” (PG), sponsored by Willes Orthodontics and Foundation Chiropractic.
