New Village Arts is bringing the rhythm, heart, and energy of 1960s Chicago to life with LA HAVANA MADRID. Inspired by true stories, this vibrant production transforms the Ray Charles Stage into the legendary nightclub where Cuban, Puerto Rican, and Colombian immigrants found community, love, and a place to call home.
Set to original music by Cristian Amigo, with choreography by Lilea Alvarez and Tamara Rodriguez, this show pulses with the sounds of mambo and salsa, capturing the resilience and joy of a community forging a new life in a changing city. And if you can’t resist the beat, you won’t have to! The experience continues after select performances with a Social Dance Club after-party in collaboration with Salsa-Bachata y Vino.

Previews begin March 21st, with opening night on March 29th. The show runs through April 27th, and tickets start at $40.
Performance Schedule:
• Select Wednesdays at 2pm
• Thursdays at 7:30pm
• Fridays at 7:30pm
• Saturdays at 2pm & 7:30pm
• Sundays at 2pm
