Cleaning Up the Village Together: 210 Pounds of Trash Gone!

Carlsbad Village has never looked better, and it’s all thanks to the incredible effort of our community at the first clean-up of the year! On Saturday morning, volunteers of all ages came together to show just how much they care about keeping our Village clean and beautiful. The results? A whopping 210 pounds of trash collected in just two hours. This effort brings the grand total to an astounding 2,990 pounds since the bi-monthly clean-ups began,

One family alone took home the bragging rights for collecting an incredible 28 pounds of trash. Now that’s teamwork!

From litter to large debris, every bag filled made a huge difference, and the energy was nothing short of inspiring. We are so grateful to everyone who showed up, pitched in, and helped start this year’s clean-up series with such an amazing turnout.

Of course, it wasn’t just about picking up trash. It was about coming together as a community. Volunteers were treated to some great local perks as a thank-you for their hard work. Baba Coffee handed out free coffee vouchers, Handel’s dished up scoops of ice cream, and Pure Project offered $1 off pints. Our partners also played a big role in keeping things eco-friendly with Handel’s providing used ice cream buckets for trash collection and Pure Project lending trash pickers and grain bags repurposed from their brewing process.

The Village is shining brighter today because of your efforts, and we could not be prouder of our community. If this clean-up is any indication of what is to come, 2025 is going to be an incredible year for Carlsbad Village.
