April is Earth Month, and the City of Carlsbad is hosting a series of events to promote sustainability and environmental awareness. Here’s how you can get involved:

Fixit Clinic: Earth Month Edition – April 5, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Carlsbad City Library (1775 Dove Lane)

Bring in broken household items, like small appliances, clothing, or electronics, and learn how to repair them instead of throwing them away. Skilled volunteers will guide you through the process.

Electronic Waste Collection Event – April 5, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Carlsbad City Library (1775 Dove Lane)

Drop off old electronics for safe and responsible recycling. Proper e-waste disposal prevents harmful materials from ending up in landfills.

Earth Month Celebration – April 12, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Pine Avenue Community Park

A family-friendly event featuring educational booths, interactive activities, and city programs that promote sustainability.

Compost and Mulch Giveaway – April 12, 9:00 AM (while supplies last) at Pine Avenue Community Park

Pick up free compost and mulch made from locally collected organic waste to enrich your garden. Bring your own container!

Shred and Recycle It! Event – April 26, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, location TBD

Safely dispose of sensitive documents and learn about paper recycling best practices.
