Yes, you read right. This holiday season, village merchants have an opportunity to turn our fantastic beach town into a winter wonderland with amazing window decorations. Starting Black Friday (November 27th) the window displays for merchants who are participating in the Carlsbad Village Window Decorating Contest will be transformed. Festive trees and lighting, colorful ornaments, or possibly even a giant skiing Santa will be painted on someone's window. This is a chance for your favorite village stores to show their creative side.
Starting November 27th and running all the way through December 18th the public will be able to vote for their favorite window online at www.carlsbad-village.com. A list of participating merchants will be available online as well so that you can visit each to place your vote for the "People's Choice" award.
Village Merchants: Participating is easy! Simply send an email to info@carlsbad-village.com by November 15th with your store name and contact information. You will be entered into the contest and listed on the Carlsbad Village website so that the public can vote. Dust off your decorating supplies and have your window decorated by Black Friday (November 27th) and keep your window on display through Christmas day. It's that simple!
On December 18th, three lucky stores will be awarded terrific prizes during a holiday celebration in the village complete with music, carolers, and hospitality.
