For years, Carlsbad Village residents have rolled up their sleeves to help save lives. This treasured tradition continues at the upcoming community blood drive on February 10th.
When you donate blood, you don't just receive a cookie and a sticker, you give the most valuable gift imaginable. Your blood can sustain:
- Victims of disasters and emergencies, replacing lost blood.
- Patients undergoing major surgeries, recovering from traumatic injuries.
- Those suffering gastrointestinal bleeding episodes.
- New mothers experiencing complications during childbirth.
- People battling cancer or anemia, in desperate need of red blood cells.
In just one hour, you can potentially save up to three lives. That's three parents, children, siblings or friends who get to see another sunrise.
To become a hometown hero, simply:
- Be at least 17 years old
- Weigh 110+ pounds
- Bring ID to the blood drive
