Born and raised in a small town in Ukraine, Larisa Lewis has always known how to appreciate the beauty of pure nature. Her unique talent of captivating the moment makes her paintings full of life. Her simple, yet elegant touch captures the true colors of stunning sunsets, mysterious deserts, gracious sailing boats, and everyday beach life. The Carlsbad Village Association is pleased to have Larisa as this 24th Annual Art in the Village artist ambassador and are looking forward to sharing her work with the public both before, during and after the event.
This year Art in the Village will feature a variety of live demonstrations that are sure to please art enthusiasts of all ages. Sculpting by several artists will take place throughout the day on North State Street with live models. Three local artists will bring chalk art alive right in front of your eyes on larger format canvases. Glass art, including everything from pendants, earrings, rings, and artwork that can be displayed, will be created on site. And there will be music throughout the event both on the sidewalks as you stroll the venue and on stage with seating under shady umbrellas.
New this year is the CVA Food, Wine, and Beer garden. This is a family-friendly location in the heart of the venue at the corner of State Street and Grand Avenue that will offer gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, Charcuterie cups to go, fish burritos and poke, and much more. Craft beer by Pure Project will be on hand along with wine by Carruth Cellars. These local food and drink purveyors are creating something special in the garden and we hope you will join us there!
