Held every Summer since 1998, the Carlsbad Village Association has hosted Art in the Village, a free, one-day, open-air fine art show, that features fine artists from all over the region. All artwork is juried and you can meet the artists in their booths the day of the event. Oil, watercolor, mixed media, digital, photography, glasswork, woodworking, jewelry, pottery, and more will be on display and for purchase.
The second round of applications can now be submitted to be juried, and the event venue can accommodate additional artists this year! If you are a fine artist or know one, whose artwork should be on display at this amazing event, please apply. Details are below.
Location
Grand Avenue and State Streets, in the heart of Carlsbad Village. Four complete blocks turn into an all-day, open-air art show with glass blowing, sculpting, and other live demonstrations right alongside the artist's booths, as well as a stage with music, and art-making for children provided by the City of Carlsbad's Family Open Studios.

Come experience the Village and enjoy the many fine coffee houses, wine bars, restaurants, and boutiques, in our very 'walkable' downtown. With ample public parking, you can park the car and spend the day on foot. Or, consider the Coaster! The train depot is just steps away from the Art in the Village location.
