Another Spring Clean Up a Big Success!

Blog Post - May 17, 2017

Category: What's New

On Saturday, May 13th, the City of Carlsbad, along with Urban Corps of San Diego County,  the Olde Carlsbad Village Association and the Carlsbad Village Association, brought work gloves and grit to Pine Park where another Spring Clean Up took place in the Barrio Neighborhood and surrounding areas.  Two events take place per year in conjunction with city services, one in the Spring and a Fall Fix Up later in the year.

This event helped dispose of 6480 cubic feet of debris as six large dumpsters were filled to the brim.  In addition to yard waste and general debris, computer equipment was properly disposed of as were TV's and tires, thanks to the conservation and recycling efforts of Urban Corps.

Volunteers are always welcome.  Stay tuned for information on the next Neighbor-Helping-Neighbor event taking place this Fall and help make Carlsbad Village the best it can be!
