A Morning of Pancakes, Community, and A Good Cause with Shop with a Cop

The Carlsbad Police Department and Richness of Giving (ROG) invite the community to come together for a morning of food, fun, and family activities at the annual Shop with a Cop Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Magee Park, 258 Beech Avenue, in Carlsbad Village.

A delicious breakfast will be served by Señor Grubby’s, Mas Fina Cantina, and The Daily News Café, with fresh coffee from Baba Coffee and dessert from Handel's Ice Cream.

Along with breakfast, guests can enjoy a variety of activities, including:

• Exciting raffle and silent auction prizes
• A K-9 demonstration
• Displays of the SWAT BearCat, CBPD Beach Polaris, and a vintage police car
• Free helmets and fittings for kids provided by Scripps Hospital Trauma Prevention Team
• Games and giveaways hosted by the Boys and Girls Club and Frontwave Arena
• A Presentation of the Colors by the Army Navy Academy cadets
• Live music and more community fun

Tickets are $10 in advance and include pancakes, eggs, sausage or bacon, fruit, coffee, and juice. Opportunity drawing tickets are available for $5 each or $20 for five.

Since 1994, Shop with a Cop has brought holiday joy to children across San Diego County. Each December, more than 300 officers from over 30 law enforcement agencies volunteer their time to spend the day with children selected from local schools, enjoying private animal shows at SeaWorld and a holiday shopping spree at Target. This year’s host agency is the El Cajon Police Department.
