Color Stories is an exhibition of the work of Foundry artist’s Cassie Langan and Chris Monette Appleton. Cassie Langan is an artist who works primarily in printmaking and bookmaking. She loves color, as is evident in her unique pieces, and also loves pattern and texture. Her work is the accumulation of technique and the evolution of an artistic voice acquired during her many years as an art teacher and practicing artist. Chris Monette Appleton is a mixed-media artist producing abstract and figurative paintings using acrylics, acrylic pens, watercolor and inks. She enjoys creating complexity within a composition of order. Like Langan, she enjoys bold color and texture - though they each have their own unique way of expressing this. Thus the exhibition title ‘Color Stories.’ Come enjoy the colorful art of Cassie and Chris as well as live music and refreshments!
