Chin's Szechwan, A Favorite For Over 20 Years, Is Back!

Who misses having good Chinese food in town? We are so excited to welcome our friends Chin’s Szechwan back to downtown Carlsbad after a seven-year hiatus. They were a downtown staple since the mid 80’s until 2013. Chin's new Carlsbad Village outpost is in the former Overseas Restaurant, whose owners retired recently after 32 years in business. 

From American Chinese classics to spicy Szechwan specialties to big and bold flavored Hunan style dishes, they have something for everyone's palate. Their Tangerine Crispy Chicken and Pao Hu braised sliced pork get raves reviews. They also offer an amazing variety of seafood and vegetable dishes, and also offer plenty of gluten free options. And, of course, they cater as well.

"We are so excited to be back in Carlsbad Village," said manager, Mary Stanford. "We can't wait for our customers to be able to enjoy our new, modern look. It's a little different from our other locations and we're looking forward to sharing it with everyone as soon as we can."
