Help make Small Business Saturday a success

It's always a good time to support small businesses! Celebrate "Mainstreet" on Small Business Saturday, November 30th, 2024. Shop and dine all day long in Carlsbad Village to show your support for these amazing solopreneurs, entrepreneurs, and enduring family businesses. Because . . . what would life be like without them?

We're celebrating downtown and you're invited!

The Carlsbad Village Association (CVA) has a wonderful celebration program planned for you with approximately $2,500 in drawing opportunities, including restaurant gift cards (courtesy of CVA) and retail gift cards and prize packages (courtesy of generous businesses in the Village). No purchase is necessary.

Visit the CVA booth at the corner of Grand Ave. and State St. starting at 11:00 am for details! Free canvas tote bag (qty. 100) while supplies last. Recycled bags courtesy of the City of Carlsbad while supplies last.

"The Gift Card Giveaway Tree" DRAWING RULES

CVA Booth Hours: 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
First tickets drawn at 11:30 am; last tickets drawn at 3:30 pm

  • Visit the CVA Booth at the corner of Grand Avenue & State Street.
  • Pick up a free, no purchase necessary drawing ticket.
  • Print your phone number clearly on the ticket and drop it in the bowl.
  • Go have fun shopping and dining and supporting small businesses in Carlsbad Village.
  • We will text winners (10 or more per hour) to let them know they've been chosen.
  • Winners will need to return to the booth within 30 minutes to claim their prize.
  • We will choose new tickets every 30 minutes.
  • All prizes must be collected by 4:00 pm on November 30, 2024.

Grand Prize Drawing

Want an opportunity to win a 3-hour Carlsbad Moke rental to tour downtown Carlsbad in style? Along with a 3-hour Carlsbad Moke rental, the Grand Prize also comes with a $50 gift card for lunch, a $50 gift card for dinner, and a $25 gift card for dessert. The Grand Prize is valued at $300!

Get a second chance to win by entering CVA's Grand Prize Giveaway with these two easy steps:

1) Visit Engel & Volkers Carlsbad at 2965 Roosevelt St. and take a cute selfie at their selfie station.

2) Visit 2695 State St. and count the number of RED bows on the window at the Carlsbad Village Association office window. 

3) Return to the Carlsbad Village Association booth at the corner of Grand Ave. and State St. by 3:30pm to show us your photo and give us your answer to enter your name into the Grand Prize drawing. You do not need to be present to win. Winners of the Grand Prize will be contacted by phone the evening of November 30th and can pick up their prize at a later date.

Be sure to visit local retailers on the way and show them some love. Remember, today is the day to celebrate our small businesses who keep our downtown thriving! The Grand Prize is provided by the Carlsbad Village Association.

Barrio Glassworks & Pure Project Glass Giveaway

Hidden inside 15 retail stores are 15 custom made glasses by Barrio Glassworks. Find one and it is yours to keep. Bring it back to the Carlsbad Village Association booth and pick up your $1 beer token to fill your newly found glass! Here is a poem to help you in your treasure hunt:
