Photos by Posh Paws Photography -- The Village Faire Shops, in collaboration with the Carlsbad Village Association, hosted the ever-popular Pets on Parade Sunday, December 11th and together raised $1,545 for Carlsbad-based Wagging Dog Rescue (www.waggingdog.org).  Along with sponsors Posh Paws Photography and Aranelle, hundreds of dog enthusiasts enjoyed a fun-filled day of raffle prizes, a silent auction, vendor displays, music, popcorn, free samples, a group photo and a Santa-led parade through the Village.  Professional photos with Santa, like the one above with Frankie, were available for a $25 charge.  Santa, a member of Santa America, was sponsored by the Glass and Mirror Shoppe.  Over 30 families participated and ended up with spectacular Christmas photos and great memories.

Wagging Dog Rescue is a grassroots nonprofit that champions the rights of animals worldwide. Their rescue is an all volunteer 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that relies on charitable contributions and fundraising to supplement adoption fees and provide for the care of its orphans. They are all foster based and firmly believe in the value of a responsible, loving foster home to an orphaned dog.  Visit them at www.waggingdog.org.
