Virtual Village Voices

The Carlsbad Village Association (CVA) is pleased to be able to host its first Virtual Village Voices of 2021 on Tuesday, January 26th, live at Barrio Glassworks from 9:00 am to 9:30 am. Since current COVID-19 restrictions on public gatherings will not allow in-person meetings, we will instead be filming and streaming live for a 30-minute webinar.

Opportunity to Learn About Three Upcoming CVA Events

Please join us to learn about three upcoming CVA events such as the 4th Annual Heart of the Village Blood Drive; a two-week treasure hunt for hidden glass hearts created by Barrio Glassworks; and a temporary public art project designed to connect downtown businesses and local artists. All three of these events will take place between February 6th and March 20th.

During Village Voices you will also hear from Carlsbad city staff about new business recovery opportunities. And, of course, we will all enjoy an interview with Mary Devlin, co-owner of Barrio Glassworks, while watching a live glassblowing demonstration.

About Village Voices

Since 2015, Village Voices has provided downtown business owners, managers, and their staff, as well as downtown residents, a monthly snapshot of community events, city affairs, business promotion, and more, in addition to robust networking.

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 restrictions of gatherings, our in-person meetings stopped early in 2020. We are happy to be able to bring Virtual Village Voices to you with the help of CVA Member Pete Sandy, the owner of AV Works. We are grateful for Pete's partnership and to have him behind the camera once again.

Situated in the historic Barrio community of Carlsbad Village, the studio and gallery provide a unique experience and environment for residents and visitors alike.
