Carlsbad Village has become a foodie destination. And we're pleased to say that there are even more exciting gastronomical options coming to the Village soon!

Who doesn’t love chocolate and beer? If you do as much as we do, join us for a free chocolate and beer pairing Thursday, October 15th at 3pm, hosted by Las Villas De Carlsbad with pairings conducted by So Rich Chocolate and suds provided by Wild Barrel Brewing Company. The pairing includes four chocolates and three beer tasting per person. Las Villas De Carlsbad, a Carlsbad Village Association Member and Community Partner, is a premier senior living facility in downtown Carlsbad located at 1088 Laguna Drive. If you would like to attend, please RSVP today by calling 760-434-7116. They are asking guests to check in at the reception desk to get their temperatures checked and get a visitor pass. Don’t forget to wear your mask!

What’s new with the food scene in the Village? In no particular order . . . 

Father & Son owners of Le Papagayo in Leucadia have purchased the former Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers location on Carlsbad Village Drive and will be bringing their Latin American and Mediterranean Fusion menus and live music to the Village. Read more about it in the sandiegoville.com website.

Nick’s On State is coming Q3 2021 to the State Street Commons at 2752 State Street. Nick’s has eight other locations throughout Southern California, including Laguna Beach, Manhattan Beach, San Clemente, and the newly opened Nick’s Del Mar. Teriyaki & Bao (the sister restaurant of Harumama) opened October 1st at 711 Grand Avenue on the ground floor of the new Grand Madison building.

264 Fresco is midway through the construction of their new rooftop dining addition.

Chin’s will be taking over Oversea’s Chinese Restaurant at 2820 Roosevelt Street.

Both Jeune et Jolie at 2659 State Street and Clara Carlsbad 300 Carlsbad Village Dr. #213 both have new executive chefs.
