Since the inaugural race in 1986, the World’s Fastest 5K has been more than just a catchy tagline. It is home to both the current men’s and women’s 5K World Records, and numerous other records set throughout the past 33 years. This weekend, April 6-7, 2019, road closures and no parking zones will be effect in and around the Village.

The event promoters want residents, motorists, businesses, and the general public to know that road closures will begin as early as 5:30 a.m., on both Saturday, April 6, and Sunday, April 7. Roads will reopen on a rolling basis and at the discretion of local law enforcement, following the last race of the day. Advanced notification of no parking zones will be posted 72 hours prior to the planned temporary no parking.
